The Service (Permit) is a written licence or warrant [e.g. document] issued by a person with authority empowering the grantee to do some act not forbidden by law, but not allowable without such authority. (Black's Law Dictionary, 6th Ed).

Permits are typically issued for a short-term and generally deal with rights to use land. Examples of permits are: park use permits, special use permits, land use permits, resource use permits, etc. (BC Assessment)

Use of this data is restricted to internal government named users. All users of this data are required to enter into an End User License Agreement (EULA) under the authority of their Ministry.

At this time, the EULA can be signed and access requested by the Expense Authority for your Branch/Division (e.g., Director or Executive Director) using the Data Request Form. The following information is to be included in the request:

  • Ministry
  • Division
  • Branch
  • List of names and IDIR's for each person that will be accessing and/or using the data
  • Short description of intended data use
