Climate observation stations (primarily from Environment Canada) that capture hourly, daily, or monthly data.

Data and Resources

Dataset Extent

Latitude: 48.0° to 60.0°
Longitude: -139.5° to -113.5°

Additional Information

To provide the locations of climate stations in BC.

Lineage Statement

The bulk of data were derived from Environment Canada; however, stations from the deprecated Climate Station (WHSE_ENVIRONMENTAL_MONITORING.ENVCAN_CLIMATE_STATIONS) were retained where they represented unique locations, as determined by [CLIMATE_ID] attribute. These stations are not maintained by Environment Canada's national climate services (http://www.climate.weather.gc.ca/), but rather were part of a now-unsupported regional network (e.g., Pacific Yukon Region - PYR)
