“Session Hours” refers to the amount of time a matter is heard in court.

• Time is reported to the nearest five minutes and includes the time when court is adjourned for any reason where staff must remain in attendance until court resumes.

• The extracts report the total number of court hours in courthouses across BC.

• Fiscal and Calendar Year datasets are available and are based on when the matter was heard.

  o Fiscal Year datasets provide data from 2014-15 to 2018-19 (as of July 2, 2019)

  o Calendar Year datasets provide data from 2014 to 2018 (as of April 8, 2019)
