Additional Information

Purpose

To determine the jurisdictional boundaries of the Environmental Emergency Response (EER) for responding to spills of hazardous materials and harmful substances within the Province of British Columbia.

Data Quality

The EER District Boundaries contain complete coverage for the Province of BC.

Lineage Statement

Boundary linework was derived based on six districts, using the Ministry of Environment's Regional Boundaries where possible. Specified location markers were used to refine boundary locations near junctions of highways and rail lines. Slight adjustments were made along outer boundaries to align with the provincial ABMS.
