Fire Perimeters - Current

Wildfire perimeters for the current fire season, including both active and inactive fires, supplied from various sources. The data is refreshed from operational systems nightly. These perimeters are rolled over to Historical Fire Polygons on April 1 of each year

Wildfire data may not reflect the most current fire situation, and therefore should only be used for reference purposes. Wildfire data is refreshed when practicable and individual fire update frequency will vary. The information is intended for general purposes only and should not be relied on as accurate because fires are dynamic and circumstances may change quickly.

Comments: PROT_CURRENT_FIRE_POLYS_SP contains perimeter areas of current/active fire incidents. The data contains the spatial representation of the area the incident occured within, specific and generalized cause information, and the total hectares, as well as the method used to create the spatial representation of the data.

VERSION_NUMBER VERSION_NO NUMBER 10 VERSION_NUMBER represents the unique versions of the collected data. As additional data is tracked for an incident, new data will be stored in the datastore for the same incident. A new record is added with an incremented version number.
FIRE_YEAR FIRE_YEAR NUMBER 4 FIRE_YEAR represents the fiscal year, April 1 to March 31.
FIRE_SIZE_HECTARES SIZE_HA NUMBER 10 FIRE_SIZE_HECTARES indicates the area within the outside perimeter of the incident, in hectares.
SOURCE SOURCE VARCHAR2 50 SOURCE identifies the method used to create the spatial data for load into the datastore.
TRACK_DATE TRACK_DATE DATE 7 TRACK_DATE represents the date the incident was initially tracked via GPS.
LOAD_DATE LOAD_DATE DATE 7 LOAD_DATE epresents the date the incident was initially loaded into the datastore.
FIRE_STATUS FIRE_STAT VARCHAR2 30 FIRE_STATUS is the control stage of the fire as of the last update, e.g, Under Control, Out of Control, Being Held, Out.
FIRE_OF_NOTE_ID FIRE_NT_ID NUMBER 10 FIRE_OF_NOTE_ID is the project number for this fire.
