Data and Resources
The primary purpose of this data is for populating the HealthLinkBC Directory. The HealthLinkBC Directory is a public service that provides detailed information about how and where to access health services in British Columbia. The Directory is funded by the provincial government and delivered by HealthLinkBC through www.healthlinkbc.ca or by dialling 8-1-1. The purpose of the HealthLinkBC Directory is to help British Columbians maintain and achieve better health by providing them with the right information at the right time. As a publicly-funded service, the directory includes health care and mental health and addiction services that are publicly funded (either in whole or in part) and serve the residents of British Columbia.
The data included in the HealthLinkBC Directory and by extension this data set, is maintained by the Health Information Design and Delivery team of HealthLink BC, Ministry of Health. All records in the Directory are reviewed for accuracy and completeness at minimum every two years by a Data Steward of HealthLink BC working direct with an administrator of the service listed in the record.
