Determines the location of Coal Tenures within the Province of British Columbia. It is established under the authority of the Petroleum and Natural Gas Grid Regulation. It is defined by a set of UTM coordinates which approximate NAD 27 latitude and longitude positions. Groups are the second coarsest level of the Coal Grid and approximate 1:50,000 NTS map sheets. Object Description

Object Name: WHSE_MINERAL_TENURE.MTA_COAL_GRID_GROUP_SP

Short Name: MTACLGRDGR
Comments: Groups are the second coursest level of the coal grid and approximate 1:50,000 NTS map sheets.

Column Name Short Name Data Type Data Precision Comments
GRID_ID GRID_ID VARCHAR2 11 GRID ID is the unique identifier for the polygon and is a combination of the mapsheet id and the group id. This is a user maintained primary key. e.g., 082E03
MAP_SHEET_ID MAPSHEET VARCHAR2 4 MAP_SHEET_ID is similar to the naming of the 1:250,000 NTS maps sheets. e.g., 082E
GROUP_ID GROUP_ID VARCHAR2 2 GROUP_ID is the last 2 character of the 1:50,000 NTS map sheet which it approximates. e.g., 03 for NTS sheet 082E03
UTM_ZONE UTM_ZONE VARCHAR2 2 UTM_ZONE is a segment of the Earth's surface 6 degrees of longitude in width. The zones are numbered eastward starting at the meridian 180 degrees from the prime meridian at Greenwich. There are five zones numbered 7 through 11 that cover British Columbia, e.g., Zone 10 with a central meridian at -123 degrees.
LABEL LABEL VARCHAR2 15 LABEL is the recommended label for mapping and presentation. e.g., 082E
FEATURE_CODE F_CODE VARCHAR2 10 FEATURE CODE contains a value based on the Canadian Council of Surveys and Mapping’s (CCSM) system for classification of geographic features. e.g., AR82000110
GEOMETRY GEOMETRY SDO_GEOMETRY 1 GEOMETRY is the column used to reference the spatial coordinates defining the feature.
OBJECTID OBJECTID NUMBER 38 OBJECTID is a required attribute of feature classes and object classes in a geodatabase.
SE_ANNO_CAD_DATA BLOB 4000 SE_ANNO_CAD_DATA is a binary column used by spatial tools to store annotation, curve features and CAD data when using the SDO_GEOMETRY storage data type.
FEATURE_AREA_SQM NUMBER 19 FEATURE_AREA_SQM is the system calculated area of a two-dimensional polygon in square meters
FEATURE_LENGTH_M NUMBER 19 FEATURE_LENGTH_M is the system calculated length or perimeter of a geometry in meters
