The water features dataset contains a modified version of the provincial Fresh Water Atlas of the coastline, lake and ponds, major rivers, streams, wetlands, and watersheds. Features might be spatially altered from the provincial source to show known changes.

This data may only be used under the terms of the Open Government License - Municipality of North Cowichan. You are encouraged to contact the data custodian if you have any questions regarding fitness for use.

Data is refreshed daily Monday to Friday.

Purpose	The water features was developed as part of the open data program to increase public access to North Cowichan information.
Data Quality	The Municipality of North Cowichan does not guarantee the accuracy or completeness of the information provided; water features are a clipped/altered subset of the provincial datasets, spatial adjustments occur as the features might be updated to reflect greater accuracy from differing sources.
