The Stewardship Baseline Objectives Tool (SBOT) is a visualization and assessment tool to clarify and communicate baseline information and stewardship objectives for priority resource values. Currently, the tool is developed for the South Coast Region. The intent of the tool is to assess the current, past and future state of stewardship objectives to support operational, tactical and strategic management decisions for these priority resource values.

Critical Habitat is defined in the federal Oregon Spotted Frog Recovery Strategy and has been mapped for the 4 populations known at the time the strategy was published. One of those sites (DND Aldergrove) is currently considered extirpated. Three other sites (Beaver Pond, Smith Falls Creek Wetland, Cheam Lake Wetlands) have been assessed as potential habitats for future translocations and therefore are mapped as Recovery Habitats for the Oregon Spotted Frog. Environmental DNA studies have been conducted in potential habitat to detect trace amounts of Oregon Spotted Frog DNA. Positive detections at three locations (Derby Lowlands, Nicomen Slough – Norrish Creek, and Pitt Addington WMA) are also mapped as Recovery Habitat until frog presence can be confirmed by breeding surveys. These Recovery Habitats may be important to the recovery of this species and impacts to these areas should be carefully considered and discussed with species experts.
