This layer provides an aggregate dataset of all established and proposed recreation tenured Alpine Ski Areas on Crown Land in the Province of British Columbia. The attributes of this dataset are the area name (Resorts, Ski Hills, Ski Areas, Villages, Mountains, Mountain resorts), the Crown File Number of the tenure or tenure application in the Tantalis database, the type(s) of tenure or disposition within which the boundary was granted and an indication of the current status of the ski area with respect to Mountain Resorts Branch Operations.
This dataset is updated on a regular basis as the boundaries of the controlled recreation areas are changed due to expansions within, or contractions of the respective resorts.
