This dataset identifies the polygons which are part of the Resort Timber Administration Act area. These areas were designated by Order-in-Council. Timber administration within the designated areas under the RTAA is conducted by the Mountain Resorts Branch.

Purpose

This spatial dataset represents Controlled Recreation Areas that are designated under the Resort Timber Administration Act, (RTAA). Timber harvesting authorizations and associated Crown timber management within the designated areas are the responsibility of the Mountain Resorts Branch. The timber is managed to meet all season resort development and recreational objectives. Please contact Reg Nolander, Land and Timber Manager at Mountain Resorts Branch, FLNRO for further information. This is a polygon feature class.
