Visualization Tool:
This web app was created for the Howe Sound Cumulative Effects Pilot Project. It includes layers estimating the condition of Roosevelt Elk population sustainability and supporting habitat and population risk indicators in the Howe Sound area. It also includes supplemental information maps to help with the interpretation of these assessments. All of these layers were last updated in 2016/2017.
Description
This web app was published January 2019. It features layers representing the Howe Sound Cumulative Effects project area in British Columbia: the condition of the Roosevelt Elk population (population stability trend and both short and long term population sustainability risk); the seven key indicators for elk population and habitat risk (forage cover interspersion, winter range requirement, winter range availability and quality, forage cover availability, population resiliency, predation risk and unregulated hunting); supplemental environmental information.
