Additional Information

This dataset provides the actual (non-masked) location of approved wildlife habitat areas and specified areas. It also includes the common species name for sensitive species.

This dataset is intended to facilitate the protection of Approved Wildlife Habitat Areas (WHAs) in British Columbia by ensuring that land managers, decision-makers, and those with a ‘need to know’ the location and description of WHAs under the Forest and Range Practices Act are able to consistently and conveniently access the information, and appropriately manage its use.
